Sharon Stone believes internal beauty is just as important as external beauty.
The 56-year-old actress told Oprah Winfrey on "Oprah Prime: Cameron Diaz & Sharon Stone -- Aging Gracefully" that she doesn't think "ageless beauty exists."
"I think it's just a catchphrase," she said. "I think that's absurd. It's not possible."
Oprah added that the unrealistic term is "good for a jar of cream."

Stone added, "I think to be the best you can be, we have to recognize that it's an internal thing, not just an external thing. We have to have internal health and internal wellness. I think that's physical health, mental health, spiritual health. You know, I think it's a sense of ethics. It's everything. If you want to keep yourself together it's all things."
Stone has been very vocal about her appearance as she ages.
Last year she told New You magazine, "As I lost the fullness in my face, I got in these great cheekbones. I can't tell you how many doctors try to sell me a facelift. I've even gone as far as having someone talk me into it, but when I went over and looked at pictures of myself, I thought, 'What are they going to lift?'"
In fact, she thinks imperfections are a good thing.
"Frankly, I think that in the art of aging well, there's this sexuality to having those imperfections. It's sensual," she said.
"Oprah Prime -- Cameron Diaz & Sharon Stone: Aging Gracefully" airs this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.

Actress Stone returning home to speak at Meadville Day event
By Keith Gushard Meadville Tribune
MEADVILLE — Crawford County’s own Sharon Stone will be the featured speaker at the 46th annual Greater Meadville Area Day — Winslow Award Dinner on Thursday.
Stone is an actor, producer, director and writer who may be best known for roles in movies such as “Basic Instinct” and “Casino,” but off-screen she’s an activist for many humanitarian causes such as AIDS research.
Sponsored by the Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County, Greater Meadville Area Day is held at The Country Club by invitation only. Bonnie Kuhn is chair of the event and William S. DeArment is master of ceremonies.
Dick Burkhardt, a member of the Greater Meadville Area Day Committee, was able to get Stone as featured speaker as she has been a long-time friend of the Burkhardt family.
Greater Meadville Area Day was initiated in 1969 by the Meadville Area Industrial Commission to commemorate the 85th birthday of Dr. Harry C. Winslow, a Meadville-area business leader and surgeon.
With Winslow’s civic-minded activities as a model over the years, the annual Winslow Award is presented during the dinner program to an individual, business or organization that has made a significant contribution to the economic growth of the greater Meadville area.
Information was not available on what Stone may speak about at Thursday’s event.
Stone, a Saegertown native and the Miss Crawford County in 1976, got her start on the road to stardom after moving to New York City and becoming a model. She was immediately signed by modeling agent Eileen Ford. Stone was soon modeling throughout the world, appearing in print and television ads for Clairol, Revlon and Diet Coke.
During the 1980s, Stone had numerous guest roles on television. She also had a supporting role as Robert Mitchum’s daughter-in-law in the miniseries “War and Remembrance.”
Her first major film role was in “Irreconcilable Differences,” in 1984.
After 10 years of working and studying acting, as well as performing in a string of films, she made the most of her role as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife in “Total Recall.”
The movie that forever changed Sharon Stone was “Basic Instinct,” in which she portrayed a bisexual author/sexual adventurer. “Basic Instinct” was the top-grossing film of 1992.
Stone capitalized on her success from the movie by carving out an attention-grabbing persona, confident and glamorous in an “Old Hollywood” sort of way, according to biographical information provided by Stone’s publicist.
Stone won a starring role opposite Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci in Martin Scorsese’s 1995 film “Casino,” where she garnered an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her portrayal of Ginger.
She also co-starred with Sylvester Stallone in “The Specialist.”
Stone’s other career highlights include receiving her first Emmy Award for Best Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her three-episode role on “The Practice” where she played Sheila Caryle, a successful attorney who claims God speaks to her, and who has been subsequently fired from her law firm for being mentally incompetent.
This year, Stone has a role in the film “Fading Gigolo.”
In 2013, Stone produced “Femme,” a documentary about women around the world who are actively transforming and healing global society on a daily basis. The film interviews more than 100 influential women, including Jean Houston, Marianne Williamson, Nobel Peace Prize laureates Shirin Ebadi and Mairead Maguire, and Gloria Steinem.
Off screen, Stone has done many hours of work for charity and Stone’s own charitable foundations. Stone and her sister, Kelly, founded Planet Hope, a foundation that sponsors diverse activities for homeless children of all ages and cultures.
At the United Nations on World AIDS Day 1995, Stone accepted an invitation to serve for three years as chairwoman of amfAR’s Campaign for AIDS Research. In 1998, as her term was coming to a close, Stone renewed her support of amfAR’s vital innovative research programs by vowing to continue as campaign chairman until a safe and effective AIDS vaccine is developed.
Since accepting he position with amfAR, she has traveled nationally and internationally on behalf of the Foundation and is now its global chair for campaign fundraising. At her public appearances, Stone works to heighten awareness of HIV/AIDS as a threat to social and economic stability and to underscore the need for AIDS research.
Stone has helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for AIDS research in her 21 years as chair amfAR events all over the world. During a 2014 amfAR event at the Cannes Film Festival she was able to raise more that $31 million for AID/HIV research.
In 1999, the AIDS Awareness Committee of Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presented her with a Ribbon of Hope award for AIDS awareness and education. She also received the Humanitarian Award in 2000 from the Human Rights Campaign.
In 2002, Stone received the Honoree and Recipient of Global Conference Institutes Healthcare & Medicine Humanitarian Award. The award recognizes an individual in the world who has demonstrated a profound commitment and devotion to health care and humanitarianism, has enhanced the quality of lives through their work and influences the course of history through ongoing contributions of health care and medicine. In 2013 she was honored by the Peace Laureates at the Nobel Summit in Warsaw Poland, with the “Peace Summit Award” for her continuous work with HIV/AIDS. She was present the award by the Dalai Lama.
In 2004, Project Angel Food honored Stone with an Angel Award for her commitment to the Project Angel Food mission for her ongoing contributions to the fight against AIDS. Project Angel Food prepares and delivers free, life-sustaining meals daily to more than 1,600 people living with HIV/AIDS, all types of cancer, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, diabetes and other serious illness throughout Los Angeles. Also in 2004, she received a Spirit Award from the National Centre for Lesbian Rights for her support of gay and lesbian civil rights.
In 2005, Stone was honored with the Harvard Humanitarian Award to celebrate her 10 years as an advocate for AIDS research. In 2005, Stone used her star power at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland to raise more than $1 million in five minutes to fight the Malaria epidemic in Tanzania. Stone also was awarded Redbook’s Mothers and Shakers Award for outstanding women and their tireless efforts to impact the world.
Stone has done work to aid disaster victims such as the victims of Hurricane Katrina. She teamed up with songwriters Denise Rich, Mark Feist and Damon Sharpe, co-writing and producing the song “Come Together Now.” Stone lined up a music stars who performed on the track including Joss Stone, Wyclef Jean, Celine Dion, Patti LaBelle and the Backstreet Boys.
Stone said she believes her role is, in order, that of mother, then activist, and lastly, actress. Stone said she wants to use her celebrity status as a productive tool to make charitable contributions to various humanitarian causes around the world.

Sharon Stone, Stacy Keach & Jacob Young Tapped for Workshop of Ben Elton's Popcorn
Our Broadway instincts are on red alert with this news. Oscar nominee Sharon Stone (Casino), Stacy Keach (soon to be seen in Love Letters) and Jacob Young (All My Children) will lead a developmental reading of Ben Elton’s Popcorn. Directed by Mark Rozzano, the Telling Company’s workshop will take place in New York next week
Elton adapted Popcorn from his novel of the same name and the show won the 1998 Olivier Award for Best Comedy. Popcorn follows the trail of two kids, who in reaction to the ongoing violence in films, go on their own cross-country killing spree. In California, they take their favorite film director hostage and claim his violent movies are the reason they became serial killers. The satirical black comedy poses the question: does the extreme violence in today’s movies motivate real-life acts of brutality?
The reading will also feature former Broadway alums Jim Borstelmann, Bryn Dowling and Angie Schworer. broadway.com

Sharon Stone has given first-time director Sadyk Sher-Niyaz a big Oscar boost by agreeing to host an awards season screening of his new movie, Kyrgyzstan's submission for the Best Foreign Film Academy Award.
The actress will introduce Kurmanjan Datka Queen of the Mountains before a screening at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on 4 November (14).
Thrilled filmmaker Sher-Niyaz tells Wenn, "It took several years of heartache and delays to achieve a film that really captures the importance and the magnitude of Kurmanjan for both myself and my country, so it is quite an honour to have the support of an actress with the calibre of Sharon Stone."
Stone insists she was happy to be asked to champion the film: "Women have a unique and natural ability to tap into remarkable strength and courage to become great leaders and that is why the story of Kurmanjan really resonated with me."
The film, about 19th century Kyrgyzstan leader Kurmanjan Datka, has already won a clutch of awards, including Best Film and Best Screenplay at the New York Eurasian Film Festival and the Audience Award at the China Silk Road Film Festival.

An AIDS QUILT SONGBOOK:SING FOR HOPE is #9 in classical music before it's even released!
Sharon Stone reads poems "Everyone Sang" by Siegfried Sassoon and “What lips my lips have kissed, and where, and why” By Edna St. Vincent Millay
*** Everyone Sang By Siegfried Sassoon
Everyone suddenly burst out singing; And I was filled with such delight As prisoned birds must find in freedom, Winging wildly across the white Orchards and dark-green fields; on - on - on - and out of sight.
Everyone's voice was suddenly lifted; And beauty came like the setting sun: My heart was shaken with tears; and horror Drifted away ... O, but Everyone Was a bird; and the song was wordless; the singing will never be done.
***
“What lips my lips have kissed, and where, and why” By Edna St. Vincent Millay
What lips my lips have kissed, and where, and why, I have forgotten, and what arms have lain Under my head till morning; but the rain Is full of ghosts tonight, that tap and sigh Upon the glass and listen for reply, And in my heart there stirs a quiet pain For unremembered lads that not again Will turn to me at midnight with a cry. Thus in the winter stands the lonely tree, Nor knows what birds have vanished one by one, Yet knows its boughs more silent than before: I cannot say what loves have come and gone, I only know that summer sang in me A little while, that in me sings no more.
In 2012 Stone collaborated with the American/Canadian singer–songwriter and actress Hailey Sales. According to Imdb they wrote several songs together, and one of them will be released in Hayley’s next album - The Misadventure, to be released on Blue Sapphire music in 2015. The song Like Never Before is a beautiful romantic classic jazz ballad, arranged by Carl Marsh.

"Sharon Stone will be returning as our host and auctioneer and we will be supporting her and her sister's incredible foundation, Planet Hope. This year's theme is full of thrilling surprises, and we look forward to giving our guests another unforgettable experiential evening."
Since beginning in 2012, the annual Benefit has evolved with changing themes. Each year, the event has doubled the total funds raised -- exponentially increasing donations to the partner organization.
"With Hotbed 2016, we're really trying to show what we can do with our gala, and raise the bar of how much we can donate to local charities to support education and the arts," Drever continued. "Having almost immediately sold out pre-sale tickets, we're looking forward to raising expectations again."
Tickets to this year's Hotbed Benefit are available at www.hotbedbenefit.com. Hotbed Main Event Individual Admission: $250; Official Hotbed After Party: $150 (After Party tickets not sold separately). The Hotbed benefit will take place at the Drever Family Estate in Tiburon on June 4, 2016 beginning at 6:00pm.
