Festival International du Film de Marrakech :Des hommages à de grandes pointures du cinéma

La 13e édition du Festival International du Film de Marrakech (FIFM) qui aura lieu du 29 novembre au 7 décembre, rendra hommage à l'actrice française Juliette Binoche, à l'acteur marocain Mohamed Khouyi, au réalisateur japonais Kore-Eda Hirokazu, au cinéaste argentin Fernando Solanas et à la comédienne américaine Sharon Stone. Ces grandes pointures du cinéma seront à l'honneur, en leur présence, lors de cérémonies qui leur seront dédiées.

Un festival de cinéma, ce sont bien sûr des films, des stars, des projections, un jury, un tapis rouge, des lauriers... C'est aussi l'occasion de rendre hommage à des personnalités qui ont marqué le cinéma partout dans le monde.

Le FIFM ne déroge pas à la règle et comme tous les ans, il fait honneur à des femmes et des hommes dont le rôle dans le monde du cinéma est incontestable.

Pour cette 13e édition, qui aura lieu entre le 29 novembre et le 7 décembre, ce sont l'actrice française Juliette Binoche, l'acteur marocain Mohamed Khouyi, le réalisateur japonais Kore-Eda Hirokazu, le cinéaste argentin Fernando Solanas et la comédienne américaine Sharon Stone qui seront à l'honneur, lors de cérémonies qui leur seront dédiées.

Sharon Stone, incontournable icône hollywoodienne

Pour ouvrir le bal, lors de la soirée d'inauguration de ce 13e FIFM, c'est Hollywood qui sera à l'honneur le 29 novembre, avec une de ses incontournables icônes, la grande Sharon Stone, qui recevra un hommage appuyé de la part de ses pairs et du public.

Celle qui a fait tourner plus d'une tête il y a 20 ans dans Basic instinct de Paul Verhoeven, n'a rien perdu de sa superbe.

La star a su marquer l’imaginaire des cinéphiles du monde entier, que ce soit dans Total Recall de Len Wiseman, dans Mort ou vif de Sam Raimi ou encore dans Casino de Martin Scorsese, président du jury du FIFM 2013, qui lui a valu un Golden Globe ainsi qu’une nomination à l’Oscar de la meilleure actrice.

Sharon Stone believes internal beauty is just as important as external beauty.

The 56-year-old actress told Oprah Winfrey on "Oprah Prime: Cameron Diaz & Sharon Stone -- Aging Gracefully" that she doesn't think "ageless beauty exists."

"I think it's just a catchphrase," she said. "I think that's absurd. It's not possible."

Oprah added that the unrealistic term is "good for a jar of cream."

Stone added, "I think to be the best you can be, we have to recognize that it's an internal thing, not just an external thing. We have to have internal health and internal wellness. I think that's physical health, mental health, spiritual health. You know, I think it's a sense of ethics. It's everything. If you want to keep yourself together it's all things."

Stone has been very vocal about her appearance as she ages.

Last year she told New You magazine, "As I lost the fullness in my face, I got in these great cheekbones. I can't tell you how many doctors try to sell me a facelift. I've even gone as far as having someone talk me into it, but when I went over and looked at pictures of myself, I thought, 'What are they going to lift?'"

In fact, she thinks imperfections are a good thing.

"Frankly, I think that in the art of aging well, there's this sexuality to having those imperfections. It's sensual," she said.

La veterana Sharon Stone (56) está siendo objeto de un agrio debate público por su repentina decisión de no presentarse en el escenario de los World Music Awards que se celebraron la semana pasada en Montecarlo, un evento en el que tenía que ejercer como maestra de ceremonias, pero que acabó echándola de menos por culpa de un cheque que jamás llegó a su cuenta corriente.
"Sharon llegó a tiempo para el espectáculo y estaba totalmente preparada para sacar lo mejor de sí misma, pero cuando se enteró de que la remuneración que iba a recibir por presentar la gala todavía no se había hecho efectiva, a pesar de que tenía que haberla recibido semanas antes de la ceremonia, decidió darse la vuelta y volver por donde había venido. Su decisión dejó boquiabiertos a todos los responsables de la organización", reveló una fuente al diario The New York Post.
Mientras que los representantes de la estrella de cine han confirmado los hechos tal y como se han filtrado -describiendo la información como "correcta y verídica"-, los productores de la entrega de premios no han dudado en criticar abiertamente a la intérprete por no atender a razones y rechazar las numerosas opciones que le ofrecieron para ser recompensada por su trabajo.
"Al principio se negó a recibir un cheque personal que ella misma tendría que canjear, luego dijo que no era conveniente que tramitaran otro cheque a través del banco, y en el momento en que se dio cuenta de que la transferencia bancaria que le podíamos haber hecho no iba a materializarse inmediatamente, optó directamente por dejarnos abandonados", aseguró al mismo medio Melissa Cork, una de las portavoces de la organización de los World Music Awards.
Una vez confirmado que la actriz estadounidense no iba a presentarse ante la comunidad artística en los ya controvertidos premios musicales, la exuberante Pamela Anderson acabó convirtiéndose en la improvisada presentadora que debía encargarse de amenizar la velada y que, sobre todo, tenía por delante la complicada misión de hacer olvidar a todo el mundo el desagradable episodio protagonizado por Sharon Stone.
"Sharon Stone se ha caído de la programación en el último minuto y me han pedido en el último minuto que suba y trate de conducir la ceremonia. Esto es una locura, pero trataré de hacerlo lo mejor que pueda", bromeaba Pamela en la alfombra roja.

The Nantucket Dreamland Foundation has announced that Academy Award nominee Sharon Stone and Super Bowl-winning head coach of the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick, will be the honored guests for its second annual gala Friday, July 11. The two iconic personalities will take the stage for a question and answer session hosted by print and broadcast journalist Mike Barnicle.

“The Dreamland’s second annual gala will benefit the programming mission of the Nantucket
Dreamland Foundation, which is committed to providing exceptional cinematic and cultural
opportunities for Nantucket year-round in our downtown theater,” executive
director Melissa Murphy said.

“The gala allows us to create a memorable event for our supporters while honoring the work of these two distinct and important cultural personalities. Both Ms. Stone and Mr. Belichick understand and support our mission, and we are so thrilled to welcome them to the Dreamland for the evening.”
