Sharon Stone will host MOCA's Distinguished Women in the Arts event

The Museum of Contemporary Art, it appears, has really good basic instincts. The museum announced on Thursday that it has chosen actress Sharon Stone to host its eighth Award to Distinguished Women in the Arts luncheon.

The Nov. 6 event, which generally draws more than 600 people from the fields of art, fashion, philanthropy, film and other areas of entertainment, will honor artists Lita Albuquerque, Nancy Rubins, Helen Pashgian and Betye Saar. All were represented in the Getty’s “Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A. 1945-1980.”

The award recognizes women providing leadership and innovation in visual arts, dance, music and literature.

“Sharon Stone has established herself prominently in the world of film and humanitarian activism,” event chairman Ricki Ring said in a statement. “We are proud to include her in this diverse group of outstanding individuals who have set a standard for contemporary visual arts, culture and entertainment in Los Angeles.”

Most recently, Stone played Linda Lovelace’s mother, Dorothy Boreman, in the 2013 film “Lovelace.".....

Sharon Stone to be Honored at LA Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon

Sharon Stone will be the guest of honor at Lupus LA’s annual Bag Ladies Luncheon Nov. 15.

The 55-year-old actress as well as her mother Dorothy and sister Kelly will be honored at the charity event, which will be held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and hosted by fashionable TV presenter Louise Roe.

Humanitarian and philanthropist Janice Wallace will also receive the organization’s 2013 “Woman of Achievement Award”, which has been previously received by Rachel Zoe, Melissa Joan Hart, Toni Braxton and Christine Devine.

The Lupus LA Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon has raised more than $3 Million dollars over the past eleven years through ticket sales as well as silent auctions where designer handbags from luxury brands including Dior, Christian Louboutin, Prada, Chloe and Ferragamo are auctioned off.

Sharon Stone ici dans le tournage du film Casino de Martin Scorcese



Le Palais des congrès de Marrakech se prépare à accueillir dans quelques heures son événement préféré. Le tapis rouge est sur son 31 et a hâte d’accueillir le défilé des stars de cette treizième édition. Ce vendredi 29 novembre est un grand jour pour la population de Marrakech et d’ailleurs.

C’est l’ouverture officielle de la treizième édition du festival international du film de Marrakech. A Partir de 18heures, le Catwalk va vibrer au rythme effreiné des pas. Les regards seront rivés vers ce passage obligé avant l’accès à la salle des ministres, là où aura lieu la cérémonie d’ouverture.

Ce soir, la belle américaine Sharon Stone recevra son trophée d’hommage des mains du grand Martin Scorcese. L’actrice étoilée de Hollywood a joué dans plusieurs de ses films dont le plus célèbre reste Casino en 1995 avec Robert de Niro et Joe Pesci.

Après ce moment d’émotion Martin Scorcesera appelle son équipe, les membres du jury de la compétition à le rejoindre sur scène avant de déclarer le festival ouvert. Fatih Akin, Patricia Clarkson, Marion Cotillard, Amat Escalante, Golshfiteh Farahani, Anurag Kashyap, et Narjiss Nejjar seront à ces côtés. Ils ne rateront aucun des quinze fims de la compétition. Une selection térs eclectique qui démarre le samedi 30 novembre a partir de onze heures avec The Wishful Thinker de l’espagnol Jonas Trueba et suivi a 15heures de Viva la liberta de l’italien Roberto Anda.

Chelsea Handler Drunk Mocking Of Sharon Stone Cost Her $100,000

Chelsea Handler seems to be in the Christmas spirit, giving a $100K donation to AMFAR at their Inspiration gala in Los Angeles last week.
